While we were all in the middle of celebrating and recovering from the food coma that results from Thanksgiving, Mac Miller released a new song named “I Come In Peace“. This seems to simply be a free release from Mac and features the Pittsburgh rapper in his new current style which consists of stream-of-consciousness, drug/religion-infused, and overall just dope rhymes. This is not the Mac Miller that 18 year old girls know from the Ariana Grande song…this is the Mac Miller who put out his Watching Movies with the Sound Off album this year that was received with great reviews from critics and most hip-hop fans in general. Anyways, take a listen below and let us know what you think. The solid production comes from fellow Pittsburgh natives Big Jerm (frequent Wiz Khalifa contributor) and P. Fish.

Final Consensus: Nice freebie from Mac for the fans. As I mentioned above, I love the new style Mac is on as I thoroughly enjoyed MacadelicWMWTSO, and Delusional Thomas. Sometimes artists who hit the national scene and achieve great success on a mainstream level at such a young age suffer for it long-term, but it looks like Miller is only getting better and truly showed his improvement as an emcee in 2013. But here is what Mac himself said about this new track….“Raps that i think are good right now but in 3 days i will ask myself what the fuck i was talking about.” Take it for what you will lol.
