While Mac Miller blessed his fans with a ton of great music in 2013, the Pittsburgh native did not let the year go by without releasing another unique project for us. Mac has been on tour promoting his impressive album Watching The Movies With The Sound Off and enlisted The Internet (who released a nice project titled Feel Good in 2013) as his band. The result of this has birthed a live album from Miller named “Live From Space” which features live recordings of songs from WMWTSO as well as some brand new unheard tracks.

Even though live albums are usually not my cup of tea when it comes to hip-hop music, it seems as Mac Miller put on a great show as he sounds at home over great production provided by The Internet. Ever since the video that featured Mac recording a live version of “Objects In The Mirror” surfaced online, we knew Miller had the talent to compile something similar to this.

However, it is the unheard tracks which appear on “Live From Space” that are most impressive. These leftover songs from the WMWTSO recordings would be album worthy for many artists as tracks like “Earth” and “Black Bush” make it clear that Miller has been in a special zone throughout the past year or so. And with features from the likes of Future, Syd The Kid, and Thundercat, the smooth grooves on these songs are undeniable.

You can stream “Live From Space” below or support the project here on iTunes. Let us know what you think and be sure to listen to the previously unreleased tracks in particular!
