We have talked a good amount recently about Childish Gambino and his ambitious album Because The Internet. The project was musical creativity at its finest from the thematic topics covered in Gambino’s lyrics to the advanced production. “The Worst Guys” is a standout track on the album and features one of 2013’s breakout artists Chance The Rapper. While Chance does not have a verse on the song, his melodies on the hook and guitar solo at the end are a solid contribution. The music video for “The Worst Guys” was leaked awhile back, but Gambino has officially released the visuals, which will make you wish you could teleport to a beach in sunny California.
The video features Gambino, Chance, and their friends at an all-day beach party surfing and smoking…and at some times doing both recreational activities simultaneously. Die-hard Childish Gambino fans will notice that the visuals fall in line with the scene in the screenplay that accompanies the entirety of the Because The Internet project. The vibe of the video certainly resembles the feel-good mood of the song and it will make everyone in the Northeast jealous of California residents. Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper certainly have a natural chemistry together and we will look forward to more collaborations from them in the future.
