This is the first collaboration between New Orleans spitter Curren$y and Queens emcee Action Bronson. Needless to say, the results are great as anticipated with the release of ‘Godfather 4’, a track that is reportedly on Curren$y’s next body of work titled The Drive In Theatre. Keeping with the name of project, ‘Godfather 4’ sounds cinematic with each emcee rapping with the vivid imagery we are accustomed to hearing from them. While we do not have many more details about The Drive In Theatre, the release of this track is a certainly a strong way to start things off. Both of these artists have diehard fan-bases and the Spitta/Bronsolino loyalists will cherish ‘Godfather 4’.

The production of ‘Godfather 4’ is courtesy of Nesby Phips and whoever that is, we applaud you sir. The beat provides the perfect backdrop for Curren$y and Action Bronson’s Don/mob boss-based rhymes. Both of them excel on the track and use their strengths as emcees nearly flawlessly. When you have Action Bronson rapping lines such as “Rims spin just like spaghetti on the pasta fork”, you know you are in for a treat. Curren$y’s habit of astute production choices are on display here and recruiting Bronson to be on ‘Godfather 4’ made perfect sense. Hopefully they decided to do a music video for the song as I can only imagine the amazing possibilities. In the meantime, we will continue to have this one on replay as we eagerly await more news from Curren$y regarding this upcoming project.

Listen to ‘Godfather 4’ below and let us know what you think!
