Willie The Kid has been on the scene since the mid-2000’s when he made common appearances on DJ Drama mixtapes. Willie The Kid is the younger cousin of Wu Tan Clan affiliate member La The Darkman, so it is only right that he has linked up with a Wu Tang Clan affiliate master producer Bronze Nazareth for a full project titled The Living Daylights (which will be released on February 11th). Their latest offering “Avalon” features Willie The Kid rhyming alongside veteran New York emcee Roc Marciano, and the two fire off exceptional verses over the throwback production that includes a very familiar sample.

Producer Bronze Nazareth decided to put a twist on the classic David McCallum sample used by Dr. Dre on “The Next Episode”, and the execution was spot-on. Rocking over the soulful beat, Willie The Kid goes bar for bar with Roc Marciano as both sound comfortable flowing over the elegant production. “Avalon” will surely be a welcome inclusion on The Living Daylights, which is looking like it will be a worthy addition to the catalog of both Willie The Kid and Bronze Nazareth.
