Black Milk has quietly become one of the most efficient and consistent hip-hop producers out there today. The Detroit native is coming off his well-received album No Poison No Paradise, which was released last fall. And luckily enough, Black Milk is already set to put out more music with “Cold Day” being the first offering from his upcoming Glitches In The Break EP. The project is set to be available digitally on March 4th and it will be released as a 12″ vinyl pressing for Record Store Day on April 19th. If “Cold Day” is a sign of what is to come on the project, then we are very excited to hear more as Black Milk never fails to impress as both a producer and rapper.

“Cold Day” is a smooth banger that features a minimal yet funky beat from Black Milk and features him reflecting on the dangers of living in his local surroundings of Detroit. Although this track has apparently been in Black Milk’s vault for quite some time, “Cold Day” sounds fresh as ever with lyrics that paint a picture over the  contemporary boom-bap production. With well-chosen samples (with Biggie’s voice being most recognizable) and a strong mic presence, Black Milk created the complete package with “Cold Day” and we will certainly be on the look out for more music from the upcoming project.

Listen to “Cold Day” below and let us know what you think!
