Fans of Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have been anticipating their collaboration album Pinata for a very long time. Thankfully, we recently received news that the project will be released on March 18th and now we have been graced with more information, including the album cover and tracklisting. While the cover art may catch some people off guard, it is the stacked tracklist that us has the most excited. While we already knew about certain features such as BJ The Chicago Kid and Odd Future members Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis, delving into the rest of the guest appearances makes us think that Pinata may end up being one of the best albums of 2014.

Many hip-hop fans would drool over an album that includes the likes of Danny Brown, Raekwon, Scarface, Ab-Soul, Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, and Domo Genesis. Well, that is what we have with Pinata, which clocks in at 17 tracks that will all be produced by the masterful Madlib. Album singles such as “Thuggin”, “Shame”, and “Deeper” have all lived up to the hype and we see no reason why Freddie Gibbs will not deliver…especially when we now consider the artists that will be joining him on the project.
