It was a busy week for Tech N9ne and Strange Music as they announced that they had signed West Coast underground legend Murs to the label. Tech N9ne summarized the partnership between Strange Music and the high quality veteran emcee as simply, ““We signed a hardcore MC that can give a motherfuckin’ show.” That could not be more true and only days after the release, Tech N9ne has released the music video for his song “Fragile” (ft. Kendrick Lamar, Mayday!, and Kendall Jackson), which was a standout track on his Something Else album from last year. The variety of musical styles on display is impressive and the visuals bring the lyrics of the song to life.

From Tech N9ne and Kendrick Lamar’s fast flow verses to the smooth singing melodies of Mayday! and Kendall Jackson, “Fragile” has a little slice of everything as each artist vents about their feelings for their art. The abandoned warehouse in the music video proves to be an appropriate location to do so as “Fragile” comes together with each artist making an appearance. It is easy to see why Tech N9ne has been so successful as an independent artist all these years when he continues to make great music like this.

You can watch the “Fragile” music video below as well as a Strange Music freestyle celebrating the signing of Murs on the Sway In The Morning show.
