Mac Miller is producing at an impressive pace in terms of putting out material, and here we take a step back to appreciate one of many standout records on his Watching Movies With The Sound Off album. Miller has released the music video for “Avian”, and it is an oddly fitting visual that brings the atmosphere of the track to life. While Mac is both the only rapper and producer on the song, he is completely absent from the music video as an elderly monk takes his place. There is no doubt that the concept behind the visuals is strange, but “Avian” is an entertaining watch that must be appreciated for its quirkiness.

Featuring everything from bird watchers to a purple forest, “Avian” showcases the Buddhist-esque actor naturally rapping Mac Miller’s lyrics. From the production to setting up the trippy scene, with the help of Rex Arrow films this is entirely a Mac Miller creation. The artful execution of the music video is exceptional as “Avian” brings something unique to the table. We expect Miller to keep feeding his fans with more music and more video’s like this should not come as a surprise.
