When we hear the name ILLANGELO we associate it with his critically acclaimed work with Toronto artist The Weeknd. While fans of the elusive crooner have been itching for the two reunite, the producer has branched out to work with a different talent out of Toronto in Rochelle Jordan. Although Rochelle Jordan is just starting to make her name known on the R&B scene, with the release of this track titled “What The Fuss”, she cements herself artist on the rise with a very high potential. Even though the song is a brief one, it is certainly not lacking in quality as ILLANGELO provides a heavy bass line for Jordan to softly croon over. While we hope ILLANGELO has more material with The Weeknd on the horizon, the chemistry displayed on this track with Rochelle Jordan is nothing to gloss over.

There is something seductive about Rochelle Jordan’s voice as she talks about her fate with a potential lover on “What The Fuss”. Her vocals on the song are enhanced by ILLANGELO’s signature dark production, which tends to create the perfect atmosphere for this explicit style of R&B. With a strong bassline and sample emphasized percussion, the beat complements Jordan’s tone as “What The Fuss” proves itself as an exceptional freebie. While we do not know if this song will be on an official project or the plans these two have for the future, “What The Fuss” is a strong sign that this could be the start of a special collaboration.
