This years NHL trade deadline snuck up on us due to the Olympics, but boy it did not disappoint as there were a flurry of big-time trades involving star players and Stanley Cup worthy teams. While the real winners and losers of the deadline won’t be truly known until a few years down the line, there is certainly plenty to analyze when names such as Martin St. Louis, Ryan Miller, and Thomas Vanek have been moved around the league. It is safe to say that for many viewers of these Winter Olympics, the Men’s Hockey tournament is considered as the must see event. From Russia getting ousted before even getting a chance at a medal to an exciting opening shootout win for the United States against the home country, these games have been filled with excitement. The antcipiation is at an all-time high heading into the semi-final contests this Friday and all eyes will be remaining on the four last remaining teams.
